Cozy (it's a gift that I have to work on during the Knitting Olympics, not actual Olympic Knitting):
1,001 stitches done
Bear in a Bunny suit:
I stuffed and closed the hole on one leg, and seamed, stuffed, and closed the hole on the other leg. This is not going to be done for the birthday. It's just not. The finish work on this thing makes me want to do myself bodily harm, rather than do it.
I also noticed from looking at the pattern that the little pajama outfit is done the same way (tons of pieces that need to be seamed... including SEPEREATE SOLES). WHY??? This is really completely ridiculous... I know from doing Bubby bears that it doesn't have to be this way... at LEAST not for the pajamas (and really, I don't even think it needs to be this way for the body, either). I'm going to figure out how to just that... eventually. I'll just buy my neice something for her birthday. She'll be 1. She is not going to be disappointed that she didn't get some handknit something that she wasn't expecting in the first place, and I might just get to keep my sanity, although it doesn't look like I will retain my ability to write in non-run-on sentences, now does it?
